Tripod form incense burner 三足鼎立式香薰炉

This is a beautifully crafted Chinese cloisonné enamel incense burner (censer) from the mid-20th century (likely 1950s–1970s).

Key features:

• Tripod form with three stylized lion-paw feet in reddish-brown enamel.

• The body is decorated in a vibrant turquoise-blue ground with intricate multicolored floral and scrolling foliage designs in the classic jingtai lan (cloisonné) technique.

• Two large, three-dimensional foo dog (shi shi) handles in red-brown enamel with gilt highlights flank the shoulder.

• The domed, pierced lid is similarly enameled in turquoise with floral motifs and is surmounted by a finely modeled foo dog finial in red-brown and gilt, posed in a playful, open-mouthed stance.

• A Greek-key (meander) border in gilt runs around the neck.

Overall, it is a highly decorative and well-executed piece, typical of high-quality export or presentation-grade cloisonné produced in Beijing workshops during the mid-20th century.
